Portrait of Britain book launch in London
I attended the Portrait of Britain book launch in London on Thursday 7 September. My work was featured in the amazing book of 200 artists from the British Journal of Photography. I met new creatives and drank a lot of wine.

St. George's Hall in Liverpool
I am filming and photographing Liverpool as part of my mother's experiences. This is St. George's Hall, a grand, grade 2 listed building. It is also where I got married in 2015.

Filming and photographing dad's resting place
I visited my dad's resting place for the first time in twenty years. It was a few days before his birthday. I brought my Canon DSLR, Samsung 8 and audio to film my search for his plaque. Twenty years can play tricks on your memory and sure enough, where I thought it was, it wasn't. And just before I gave up, I found it and on camera. It was pouring with rain, so I didn't bother using the Canon because it would have gotten wet. I brought flowers and a card. The Samsung footage is great and the extra audio helps. I will edit it into a small film.

Familiar with this area on a daily basis. I love walking and I walk every single day. Even at night, after shooting an event or show, I would be walking. You see many colorful characters on the street. Not the thing to do in LA, but there you are. "Tangerine" https://youtu.be/XoCHyjQnMGU via @YouTube

I’m taking on my mother’s identity by performing her, by caring for her and writing about her. By shooting a film a day I’m forced to film when I don’t always want to.”
